Laura has been at Drikkeriget for going on 2 years soon, first packing orders in the warehouse and now also working directly with you lovely people to help you put together orders with all of the beers that you love.
She was born in Normal, Illinois and has been moving further away from “Normal” since then. She fell in love with craft beer when she tried Maharaja, an IIPA from Avery Brewing CO, while she was studying psychology at The University of Colorado in Boulder. One year, her new year’s resolution was to visit 100 breweries– she hit that mark in August and ended the year with 165 breweries under her belt. Her favorite hobby is homebrewing and her favorite style to brew is saison, particularly with kefir lime leaves or szechuan peppercorns.
She ended up in Denmark because she fell for a Dane while backpacking around Europe. Her interests outside of the world of beer include hiking (she has a mountain-shaped hole in her heart after leaving Colorado), photography, traveling (she’s a huge advocate for CouchSurfing), and music (esp. alternative/indie). She’s a social butterfly who loves to show people around Copenhagen, so write to her if you’re planning a trip here.
